The Glass Castle

Hi all. I just read this great book called The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. It really is an amazing tale about her life and it’s true. We are taking hot baths, walking in the snow and waiting out the winter here in Michigan. More later. ps. this is fun. Connie

    Hi, Connie!

As I mentioned in a prior comment to Grace, I love the new “do” — then again, maybe it’s not so new, but I haven’t seen you in over two years (the Christmas show in Owatonna, MN)! I’m glad you’re surviving the winter — I know its been frigid here in Iowa the last few days, so I’d hate to imagine what’s happening up there in the northland! At least I have the sound of the Chenilles to keep me warm — I LOVE the new CD — keep them coming!!! I’ll look forward to hopefully seeing all of you sometime soon on “Ellen” — please try to make a trip to Iowa sometime in the near future, because I know you have lots of fans here in Des Moines (I know, because I’ve converted most of them myself)! Stay warm, and pass along any more book tips.

Lots of love from the tropics of Iowa,

    Barry

    Hello, Connie

It is so nice to have this blog link on your excellent new web site. Not many artists are willing to stay connected to the fans like the Chenille’s do. I love the new CD and so does Frank. It is great to know that you are happy and healthy and I hope that means many years of concerts in your future. I am looking forward to seeing a tour schedule and hoping for a show in the area. Thank you for your heart of GOLD and see you soon.

    Miss you a bunch, Mark

Is anyone out there? It’s been very quiet on here for a long time! Just checking!

  4. Grace Says:

    Hey Barry, Hey Mark!
Connie and Cheryl are still “in training” on this blog thing. I know they are going to be more communicative once they get the hang of it.

I have always been the “blabbiest” of the three of us, so I guess it makes sense that I am the one doing most of the blogging!

Anyway, Connie and Cheryl both send you their best. It was a quiet February.
    Tomorrow is March 1. YAY!

    xxoo,
    Grace

Where have I been? I just found out about the blog and I’m one of Grace’s parental units!

I just did my “Ellen beg” and wanted to say Hi to Barry. We were on the cruise with you! I, too, need a Chenille fix! We missed the New Year’s Eve at the Ark! 8>(

    Hi, Mary!

It’s great to hear from you — how’s life in Michigan these days? We’re in the middle of a roaring blizzard here in Iowa tonight, so I can’t think of a better time to think back to all the fun of The Chenille Sisters Concert Cruise of 2002! I can’t believe that you haven’t had a “fix” lately either. I love my CD collection, but it just isn’t the same as a live show (with all of Grace’s facial gestures). I hope all is well with you and the rest of the family. Maybe we can have a reunion sometime — that was such a fantastic weekend! Please stay in touch — thanks for writing!!!

    Barry
